If you need a dyslexia or dyscalculia assessment please get in touch. Dyslexia Kent is based in Maidstone. It provides professional full diagnostic assessments for pre and post 16s. The assessment can be carried out in Maidstone, online in the home, school or workplace.
After the assessment a full and detailed report is written, setting out recommendations for support needed, what exam access arrangements may be suitable, it can support an application for Disabled Student Allowance or Access To Work.
The Assessor has the Assessment Practicing Certificate and is registered with the Dyslexia Guild and the British Dyslexia Association.

Yes, sometimes someone can struggle with mathematics as well as literacy. But not always, some dyslexic individuals are really good at mathematics.
The following areas are assessed: receptive and expressive language, working memory, phonological processing and speed of naming. Then reading of single words, sight words and nonsense words. Reading of longer pieces of prose, reading fluency, accuracy and speed and reading comprehension. Listening comprehension, visual spatial memory and speed of writing.
The cost of a full diagnostic assessment is £550, payable after the assessment in instalments if required.
An assessment will depend on the waiting list but it is expected that an appointment will be available within 4 weeks of initial contact.
